Vain Machine — Broken (Assemblage 23 Remix) (Lost / 2015)
Опубликовано: 18 февр. 2015 г.From 'Lost', the stunning debut album from LA-based electronic act Vain Machine; available now via AnalogueTrash Records and all good digital retailers.
Drawing inspiration from a wide range of EBM and industrial based music such as VNV Nation, De/Vision, Nitzer Ebb and KMFDM, Vain Machine’s signature sound features dirty, driving bass lines, sweeping pads, razor sharp leads and gritty electronic percussion underpinning infectious melodies.
Established by Beau Baker and Omar Quinones in 2013, the two met in a chance encounter when Beau answered an ad that Omar had posted looking for musicians to assist in remixing a single for Omar’s project, ROOM 1202. While ROOM 1202 dissolved in 2007; the two musicians remained in close contact and after working with various partners, the duo began pushing forward and creating new ideas that formed the core sound of Vain Machine.
In May 2013 the band self-released a series of tracks which generated a great deal of interest in their music, both online and in their hometown of Los Angeles. The band began playing live shows in November 2013, including the 24th anniversary of local goth-industrial store Ipso Facto, and supporting for the Los Angeles Synthpop Society with local band Savi0r. After only a few live shows they were also selected to open for legendary German electropop act De/Vision.
In September 2014, Vain Machine signed a contract with UK-based independent electronica label AnalogueTrash Records for the release of their upcoming single and album. Their full-length album, Lost, is released in 2015 and features 12 choice cuts including 7 original tracks and 5 remixes from alternative electronic stalwarts such as People Theatre, Assemblage 23 and Nordika.

Ten year veterans of the international dark alternative scene and one of the most dynamic and engaging live acts in the UK, the mighty Deviant UK need no introduction.
Marking their first release since 2011, Deviant UK’s explosive new single ‘Cracks Starts To Show’ is an electro-rock monster, a hymn to self-destruction providing a tantalising glimpse of what to expect from the long-awaited third album due for release later in 2015. Soaring synth hooks, crunching metal guitars and a huge chorus combine to make ‘Cracks Start To Show’ an uncompromising stride forward for Deviant UK with a newfound rock edge to Jay Smith’s instantly recognisable vocals.
Featuring the original mix of the track and no less than FOURTEEN stellar remixes from electronic music’s best and brightest covering every base, ‘Cracks Start To Show’ simply swaggers with inimitable in-your-face attitude.

Originally formed in 1986 by Gary Watts and Andrew Stirling-Brown, Hereford-based electronic band Nature of Wires toured regularly until 1994, playing a mixture of covers & originals; self-releasing their debut Modus Operandi album in 1993. In November 2014, Gary began composing music again, later forming an unlikely partnership with Maren Northway, otherwise known as CountessM – a prolific and respected vocalist and lyricist from Fullerton, California.
With only a few single releases officially available, Nature of Wires & CountessM have developed a growing worldwide fanbase, receiving airplay on numerous radio stations including a live performance and feature on BBC Introducing.
July 2016 sees the release of the highly anticipated new album Cyber Rendezvous on Manchester’s AnalogueTrash record label.
Featuring ten brand new tracks, Cyber Rendezvous is the brainchild of two very distinct yet complementary talents. Brooding and uncompromising; stark, brutalist percussion juts menacingly from below ethereal string and synth arrangements, while CountessM’s crooning vocals and poetic lyrics spin intricate tales of subversion, love, longing and betrayal.
A must for fans of Gary Numan, Alien Sex Fiend, Talk Talk, The Knife, and Bat For Lashes.
Cyber Rendezvous is officially released on the 29th of July 2016 and is available from all good digital outlets and on CD in a six panel digipak edition, featuring artwork from Vlad McNeally.
