Then after the break they have Nick Redfern in studio to discuss his new book “Secret History – Conspiracies from Ancient Aliens to the New World Order”. The talk about many things including what Nick thinks about the legendary Patterson/Gimlin Film the possible escape of Adolf Hitler and the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. Nick Redfern has been interested in UFOs since 1978. His main area of research centers around determining what has been learned about the UFO subject at an official level in Britain. He has spent hundreds of hours at the Public Record Office in London, and has uncovered thousands of pages of previously-classified Royal Air Force, Air Ministry and Ministry of Defense files on UFOs dating from the Second World War. Nick is the author of several best-selling books on UFOs including: The FBI Files: The FBI’s UFO Top Secrets Exposed; and Cosmic Crashes: The Incredible Story Of The UFOs That Fell To Earth. The Sleep Concert has been one of the dominant threads in my musical journey through life. It marked my first solo concert ever, in January 1982, in the lounge of a Stanford University dormitory. It became a sort of trademark for me, even as I explored a range of dynamic music throughout my career.

Occasionally I feel an urge to return to this slow-motion core of my creative heart, and occasionally the world comes back to remind me that I will always be connected to sonic explorations at the edges of perception, trance consciousness, dreams, altered states, communal ritual.

I returned to making all-night music when the Unsound Festival invited me to perform a sleep concert in Krakow Poland, October 2013. This would be my first sleep concert in ten years. I decided to create new textural soundscapes to use in this performance, to reinvigorate the concept for a new generation, a new millennium. After spending at least six months developing long evolving textures for the performance in Krakow, I proceeded to hone the material into a new long-form work, a sequel to the 7-hour long Somnium from 2001.

Technical note: The Blu-ray version of «Perpetual» contains both the 8-hour «Perpetual» and the 7-hour original «Somnium.» Each is divided into three chapters, split at the most quiet moments in each piece, in order to keep file sizes under 4 Gb. The audio files are stereo 16 bit 48 kHz, using over 13 Gb of the disc for audio. The remaining 11 Gb holds highly compressed video-black, required for navigation through the disc. The download of «Perpetual» available through CD Baby is divided into ~80 minute chunks (for technical reasons due to data-entry workflow) and uses CD-resolution (16 bit 44.1 kHz) files. These should segue into each other seamlessly on your computer, although a soft click might be audible depending on the software.

Completed in October 2006, the video for Max Richter's track 'Song', which appears on his album, 'Songs From Before', was shot by film maker Yulia Mahr in a remote part of the Pyrenees. Using out-of-date Super-8mm black and white film stock, and some of the last Kodachrome 40 stock ever produced, it is a neat vsual accompaniment to the grain and atmosphere of Max's music.

Прямой эфир: 21 нояб. 2015 г.В Петербургском СКК прогремел 17-й ретромегадэнс — Супердискотека 90-х Радио Рекорд. Необычный ведущий — видео-джинн, появившийся из банки с джин-тоником, сохранившейся с 90-х, — творил на сцене и в зале настоящие чудеса, возвращая зрителей в сказочный мир детства.

Звезды вместе с залом спели самые любимые песни. Супердискотека проходила в формате «супермикса» — треки исполнителей были сведены между собой, придавая шоу такую сумасшедшую динамику, что ноги во второй половине уже отказывались плясать.

Еще одна фишка Супердискотеки 90-х — фан-зона, состоящая из тысячи человек, которые принимают активное участие во всех номерах постановки!

А в холлах СКК мы посторили целый город 90-х: школа, двор, спортзал, парикмахерская… И он очень быстро наполнился жителями!

Кульминацией вечера стало появление блистательной Natalia Oreiro, которая вышла под аккомпанемент балалаек, играющих русскую народную песню Cambio dolor!

Огромное спасибо нашим зрителям, которые не подкачали и почти все пришли в прикиде 90-х, что создало потрясающую атмосферу в зале!
