Опубликовано: 6 дек. 2012 г.Eduard Nikolaevich Artemyev (Russian: Эдуа́рд Никола́евич Арте́мьев; born November 30, 1937) is a Russian composer of electronic music and film scores. Outside of Russia he is mostly known for his film scores from films such as Solaris, Siberiade, Stalker or Burnt by the Sun.
Artemyev was born in Novosibirsk and studied at the Moscow Conservatory under Yuri Shaporin. His interest in electronic music and synthesizers began after his graduation in the 1960, when electronic music was still in its infancy. He wrote his first composition in 1967 on one of the first synthesizers, the ANS synthesizer developed by the Soviet engineer Evgeny Murzin. He was thus one of the first composers and a pioneer of electronic music. His collaboration with the film director Andrei Tarkovsky in the 1970s made him well-known. He wrote the film scores of Tarkovsky's Solaris, Zerkalo and Stalker. Later he also wrote film scores for films by Andrei Konchalovsky and Nikita Mikhalkov. His film scores and his music received several awards, including three Nika Awards. Recently, he licensed several pieces from the Solaris soundtrack in order to use them in the upcoming Spanish production The Cosmonaut.

MAD Tribe is a collaboration between Space Tribe and MAD Maxx. (Olli Wisdom and Max Petersen). They are both well established artists on the Psytrance scene for many years and play festivals and parties all over the world. They met in San Francisco at one of the infamous CCC parties and became good friends. They started making music together in 2005 clicking immediately with a shared vision for a full power psychedelic sound with twisted sense of humour. MAD Tribe will release their stunning first album 'Spaced OUT' on TIP records in October, Bringing a Juicy Full Power Psychedelic Experience, guaranteed to spark all 6 senses. Jon Klein (Specimen, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Sinead O'Connor) has also been bringing his sublime guitar skills to the Mad Tribe studio sessions. Tracks such as 'Peak Experience', 'Time Warp' and 'Electro Convulsive Therapy' have been electrifying dance floors everywhere.
Max Peterson has been performing and releasing his unique brand of trance music under various project names since 1998 including seminal San Francisco trance project Biodegradable and Sirius Isness. In 2007 he started his solo project MAD Maxx perfecting a unique sound, embodying all the travels, experiences and parties.
Olli Wisdom is the man behind the psychedelic phenomenon that is Space Tribe. Olli has been a pioneer of Psychedelic Trance for many years and Space Tribe is one of the most well known names in the psychedelic scene. In 1993, Olli, his brother Miki, and fellow space cadet, Richmond, started Space Tribe clothing in Bali. The fractal fluoro party gear was an instant success, and now you can see it at parties all over the planet. Space Tribe released the first album, 'Sonic Mandala' in 1996, and since then Space Tribe has released at least an album a year.

Project of Ryan Karazija, Low Roar is the incarnation of change, atmosphere, and loneliness after a move from San Francisco, California to Reykjavík, Iceland.
His self-titled emotive, twelve song debut chronicles the challenges of starting anew in a foreign land and is an honest depiction of the struggles to acclimate, find work, and support his family in the Icelandic winter.
The album's opening lyrics «I won't wake a wealthy man someday, 'cause the sun don't follow me» begin to tell Low Roar's story.

Опубликовано: 20 июн. 2014 г.Continuing to usher forth their Wendigo spirit, Dallas' Wo Fat have returned with their fifth full-length album, The Conjuring, another stoner psych-doom excursion into places unknown, deadly, and dense with an oft-misunderstood species known as the killer blues.
Recorded at guitarist-lead vocalist Kent Stump's Crystal Clear Sound, the album follows the Wo Fat template of towering doom riffs stirred with the devil-may-care nonchalance of southern blues and classic hard rock fuzz. Similar to their past two efforts, 2011's Noche del Chupcacabra and 2012's The Black Code, The Conjuring wields a five-song set of grooving mythically charged stoner rock. While not metal in the strictest sense, Wo Fat's infatuation for seductive down-tuned riffs, in addition to the sheer sonic weight delivered, makes them a favorite amongst stoner-doom thrill-seekers, and for good reason. The Conjuring hears the boys sizzling from afar with their unmistakable fuzz-realm flair.
Wo Fat, as they do like few others, jam about in a style that's as much jazz and blues-trio influenced as it is about swirling up stoned-out southern metal dust. With Tim Wilson building and leveling grooves off with his rumbling bass lines, Michael Walter swinging hard and smooth and setting the standard for his boys to follow, and Stump just burning away with his ever-enhancing, always-entrancing solo work — Stump flat-out struts on the closer «Dreamwalker» — Wo Fat have turned The Conjuring into a record that has little to do at all with being recorded. The music is alive with flame and smoke and things that only come out at night.
With the hot summer months on the near horizon, Wo Fat's latest couldn't have landed at a better time. The Conjuring is the trio at their most confident and awe-inducing, doling out heaviness like heavy ain't no thing. So be careful jamming this album beside a bonfire. There's no telling what may come crawling out of the cinders.
