The 4th Metalcast is made by a Dutch producer Dj Hidden. He is definitely one of the most talented producers in the hard Drum & Bass scene. There was an opinion that he is like Tim Burton of Drum & Bass. His work includes not only production of Drum & Bass, Hardcore and Downtempo but he is also a graphic designer and a webmaster. The project The Outside Agency (Dj Hidden & Eye-D) has started a style, which can be described as a mixture of Drum & Bass and Hardcore, that follow a lot of producers these days. Producers who are signed on FSRECS did Metalcast mixes. It signals that you can expect a collaboration with Forbidden Society at the end of this year or at the beginning of the next year. Enjoy this mix as it is quite special, there are a lot of experimental tracks in it and as always it is a heavy one!

He has been teaching Graphic Design at Vakalo College of Art & Design for the last 20 years. In parallel, he founded with his partners Alexandros Gavrilakis and Dimitris Stefanidis the G Design Studio, which implements any visual communication project, with emphasis on packaging design.

The «Expanded Piano» concert and installation by Stavros Gasparatos is grounded in the idea of “prepared piano,” a tradition where screws, rubbers, bolts, etc., are attached to the strings inside a piano, altering the sound. Building on the many famous mechanically prepared piano compositions from John Cage to Aphex Twin, Expanded Piano transforms the idea into a uniquely electronic form. An acoustic piano is wired with both regular microphones and contact microphones attached to the body of the piano, its strings, and mechanisms. Each microphone’s signal is manipulated in real time through a computer and then routed to its own loudspeaker, creating a multichannel space around the audience that puts the listeners “inside” the piano.
