Stars of the Lid — The Tired Sounds of Stars of the Lid (HD)

Опубликовано: 26 янв. 2013 г.Stars of the Lid — The Tired Sounds of Stars of the Lid

The Tired Sounds of Stars of the Lid is the sixth studio LP by ambient drone music group Stars of the Lid. It was released in late 2001 on the Kranky label, on two CDs and three LPs. The album features long minimal, droning compositions created from heavily treated guitar, horn, flute, piano, and other classical instruments. An interesting feature of the second track, «Requiem For Dying Mothers, part 2» is that it features a sample from the final scene of Andrei Tarkovsky's film Stalker, where the character Monkey pushes a glass across a table by way of telekinesis as a dog whines and a train whistle blows in the distance.

Ripped using EAC with 99% accuracy and then encoded using FLAC at -8. The picture changes every ten minutes from art found on the inside and front of the CD case.

Calyx & Teebee: The Essential Mix!!!

Опубликовано: 8 дек. 2012 г.Download Link: http://www.mixesdb.com/w/2012-12-08_-...

Calyx & Teebee are Larry Cons and Torgeir Byrknes. They've been making music as a duo, and as solo artists, since the late nineties.
Labels like Moving Shadow and Metalheadz have put out their music. And their tunes have also popped up on games like Midnight Club and Grand Theft Auto 3.
They signed exclusively to Andy C's Ram Records earlier this year. And they've just released their first album for the label called 'All Or Nothing'.
This excellent Essential Mix features new and classic drum & bass from artists including dBridge, Photek, Wilkinson and Dilinjah. House & techno from Trentemoller, Gui Boratto and Stimming. Hip-hop from the likes of The Roots, J Dilla and Roots Manouva. And even soundtrack music from Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Their Essential Mix consists of a real variety of different genres and styles, including drum and bass from dBridge, Photek and Dilinjah, techno from Trentemøller and hip-hop from J Dilla and Roots Manuva. First broadcast on the 8th December 2012 (08/12/12)
