Black Sun Empire represents the finest in dark and tech fuelled dance-floor drum & bass. Since bursting onto the scene back in 2000, they've continued to develop their own unique style and sound, releasing numerous singles as well as five full-length LPs and establishing themselves as leaders in the field. With their impressive DJ skills and inspirational productions, Black Sun Empire has reached far beyond their native Holland. In 2011 and now onto 2012, Blackout goes on tour with guests and related artists from their three labels (BSE Recordings, oBSEsessions, Shadows of the Empire) and now has a highly successful residency in London at Cable.

Опубликовано: 16 окт. 2015 г.To mark 50 years since the Voting Rights Act and 150 years since the end of the Civil War, Washington National Opera will present the world premiere revised version of Philip Glass's acclaimed opera «Appomattox.» Prior to the premiere, excerpts were performed at a Works & Process sneak peek on October 5, and WNO artistic director Francesca Zambello moderated a discussion with director Tazewell Thompson and Glass.

Since 1984, New Yorkers have been able to see, hear, and meet the most acclaimed artists in the world, in an intimate setting unlike any other. Works & Process, the performing arts series at the Guggenheim, has championed new works, offered audiences unprecedented access to our generation's leading creators and performers, and hosted post-show receptions for the audiences and artists to continue the discussion.

Each performance uniquely combines artistic creation and stimulating conversation and takes place in the Guggenheim's intimate Frank Lloyd Wright-designed 285-seat Peter B. Lewis Theater. Described by The New York Times as «an exceptional opportunity to understand something of the creative process,» Works & Process is produced by founder Mary Sharp Cronson.
