This year sees the release of their first LP. Naxatras recorded the album live 100% analog at Magnetic Fidelity Studios with a guy named Jesus. Only analog equipment was used during the recording, mixing and mastering stages. Naxatras recorded the album at a small village in northern Greece in just 3 days.
Naxatras play a beautiful Psychedelia with lush melodies. They experiment with many Progressive song structures. This album is a bright indicator of the potential these guys have going forward.

Following the «Orb» EP, «Layer 8» is a hard, fast album of futuristic dark drum'n'bass. But it is also an example of how to bring this genre forward while staying true to its energy. Very complex and detailed, the nine tracks of this album play with the rules of modern day's drum'n'bass and burst out of their restraints, resulting in an album whose horizon is beyond the dancefloor and which impresses by its magnitude and originality.

The introduction of this album is like a cure for your soul after a hard day, when you just want to forget everything and not think about anything, just be.
I see myself walking in the fields bordering my little village in the East of France, about 200 m behind my house. It's a crystal clear August night, temperature is about 23°C, a fine breeze strokes tall grass, walnut trees and wheat fields. You can only hear the sound of the water flowing in the nearby river and decides to walk along it.
Finally, you find a spot of comfortable grass to lay on, and start burying yourself in that gigantic sea of light formed by the shiny stars. You use your hands as a pillow and quickly, the sky takes you elsewhere, where troubles can't follow you.
Only In The Dark is one of my favorite song of this album, because it reminds me my native home, and suggests space and inner peace.
