This time round, we're shining a spotlight on the country’s ever growing community of post-internet music producers. Microsoft IE iconography, Tumblr aesthetics, and (most importantly) a free-for-all sample culture predicated on information excess — these are a new generation of genres and artists who have never known a world without the Internet.
As part of this exploration, Boiler Room will be showcasing three of Russia’s most exciting post-internet collectives — YungRussia, より多くの愛 / Rave Russia, and Hyperboloid Records. A series of documentaries telling the story of each collective will be released over the coming weeks, culminating in an enormous live event on August 4th.
Joining Russia's crop of cloud beatmakers is Clams Casino — one of, if not, the elect originators responsible for pioneering and exporting the sound to the world. Clams is fresh from releasing his debut LP '32 Levels' and arrives as a long (long) awaited debutante to our screens. Hype don't cover it.

At seventeen he discovered psytrance and ambient, and one year later, got his first psychedelic festival experience in the Boom 2004. Since then, this scene became a virus...in 2006 he plays guitars on the 3rd Psyside album: «Anomaly in Your Brain» (Morphonic Records). In 2009, he releases his first ambient album «Beyond Galaxies» with Aboriginal Recordings. In 2010, with the band «Alktraxx», he releases an electro/hiphop album and make a live tour across China.
In 2010, he starts a new progressive psytrance project, and in 2011, he releases tracks with Iono Music, Uxmal records, and his first Progressive Psyrance album on Altar Records...NAMASTéééééé

Magnetism sounds for me like the last transition before the denouement of Night Falls.
It starts with the static we heard in the end of Giants, representing the passage between the world of the Ancient, out of limits, and your own spiritual way, where you belong. And then, progressively, extended layers of orchestrations succeed each other, such unseizable monoliths of sound answering to each other in long moans.
These parts are supported by dense drones in the background, picturing overall a path of trial, as much physical as mental.
It's hard to breathe, bright lights and deep darkness are alternating, a stellar wind flogs your face. But above all, your memories pass before your eyes all at once, overloading your mind, while the questions asked by the Giants keep repeating themselves: «Are you worth of it? ».
The insurmountable walls of sound seem to slowly fade out in the end of the track, clearing a way to a warmer area; it looks like you are almost getting to the end of your trip.
